We woke up this morning in Roskilde, to sunshine and mild temperatures. After a huge breakfast, we walked to Roskilde Cathedral, where 39 kings and queens of Denmark are buried. The sanctuary was beautiful and the choir got the chance to run through several songs from the altar.

After, that we walked around, looking at all the places where the royalty is buried. Sort of creepy, but also very peaceful.

After that, we visited a market nearby where pastries, produce and miscellaneous other items were for sale. It reminded me of the Des Moines Farmer’s Market only cheaper and more authentic.
We spent about 45 minutes at a Viking museum. We didn’t get to stay long, but I guess I had always considered the Grand View mascot as a misnomer, but according to a movie we watched there, the Vikings had a very prominent presence in Denmark way back then.
Also, Siebert, just as a warning, your Viking Pizza idea? Already taken, it’s located several feet away from the Viking museum so if you ever try to start that up, don’t be surprised if you receive a copyright infringement letter from Roskilde.

We then spent about an hour shopping in the square and eating lunch. McKenzie found some MnMs that tasted weird. Apparently, the Danish appreciate a more Vitamin-tasting candy, because they were gross and tasted like medicine.
Keyla was asked by a friend to get a signature from a different European on each card of an entire deck. She's not halfway there yet, but getting there.

The group loaded in the bus then and traveled to Lindelse, where we are now, crossing a 14-mile bridge to get here. We are now in the mainland of Denmark and the choir is practicing for the next hour to prepare for two performances tomorrow. And I am writing this on a Danish computer. Æ see? That letter is only on Scandanvian computers.
